We understand that sometimes a mistake happens or you may change your mind. This policy outlines exactly how we handle requests for modifications and cancellations to ensure a fair and transparent experience for all our valued customers.
- ORDER PROCESSING & THE FULFILLMENT CYCLE
To maintain our delivery promises for our U.S. customers, Lakayou operates on a strict logistical schedule. Understanding this timeline is essential for successful order adjustments:
- Order Cut-off Time: 5:00 PM (EST), Monday – Friday.
- Handling Time: Most orders move from “Payment Received” to “Processing” within 1–2 business days.
- Immediate Action: Orders placed before the cut-off time often enter the initial picking and packing stage the same business day.
- COMPREHENSIVE CANCELLATION GUIDELINES
2.1 The Grace Period We offer a 12-hour grace period from the moment of purchase for any cancellation requests. During this window, we can typically stop the automated fulfillment process before the item is prepared for shipment.
2.2 Cancellation Eligibility based on Order Status
- Status: Payment Confirmed – Cancellation is fully supported. We will issue a 100% refund immediately.
- Status: Processing/Fulfillment – We will make every effort to pull the package from the line if your request is within the 12-hour window, though this is not always guaranteed once packaging is complete.
- Status: Dispatched/Shipped – Once an order has been assigned a tracking number and handed to USPS, UPS, or FedEx, it is physically impossible for us to cancel the shipment. In this case, please refer to our 30-Day Return Policy to return the item once it arrives.
2.3 How to Submit a Cancellation Request To ensure your request is seen by our team instantly, please email support@lakayou.com with the subject line: “URGENT: Cancel Order #[Your Order Number]”. Please include your Full Name and the specific reason for the cancellation to help us improve our service.
- MODIFYING YOUR ORDER
If you realize you have made an error in your order details, we will do our absolute best to assist you provided the order is still within the 12-hour window.
3.1 Shipping Address Corrections Accuracy is vital. If you provided an incorrect shipping address, contact us at support@lakayou.com immediately. We cannot redirect or stop a package once it has left our facility. Lakayou is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
3.2 Product Specifications (Size, Color, or Item) Should you wish to swap an item for a different size or color:
- Price Parity: If the new item has the same price, we will update the order manually.
- Price Differences: If the new item is more expensive, we will provide a secure link for the additional payment. If it is less expensive, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.
- Stock Availability: All changes are subject to our current inventory at the time of the request.
- ORDERS ALREADY IN TRANSIT
Once the shipping carrier has taken possession of your package:
- No modifications or cancellations can be performed.
- The customer must receive the package and follow our 30-Day Free Return Policy. Please do not refuse the delivery, as “Refused Packages” can lead to significant delays in the refund process and may incur additional carrier fees.
- REFUNDS & FINANCIAL RECONCILIATION
- Zero Cancellation Fees: Lakayou does not charge any administrative or restocking fees for cancellations made within the valid timeframe.
- Refund Processing: For all approved cancellations, a full refund will be processed to your original payment method (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or PayPal).
- Refund Timeline: While we trigger the refund immediately, please allow up to 5 business days for the transaction to reflect on your bank statement, depending on your financial institution.
- UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
- Out-of-Stock Items: In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you via support@lakayou.com immediately to offer a full refund or a comparable replacement.
- Duplicate Orders: If you accidentally place the same order twice, please notify us within the 12-hour window so we can cancel the duplicate before shipping.
